  The CRTC has approved the purchase of Top 40/Rhythmic CFBT (THE BEAT 94.5 FM)/VANCOUVER by CTVGLOBEMEDIA from THE BEAT BROADCASTING CORP. CTV inherited the deal from CHUM LTD. in its purchase of the latter company.
  CTV already owns Talk CFUN-A, Sports CKST-A (THE TEAM 1040), and AC CHQM (103.5 QM-FM) in the market as well as CTV affiliate CIVT-TV.
