Report: Air America Settles Multicultural Suit

The NEW YORK SUN is reporting that AIR AMERICA RADIO has reached a settlement with MULTICULTURAL RADIO BROADCASTING in the latter's lawsuit for $1.5 million in damages. 

MULTICULTURAL sued AAR in MAY over allegedly unpaid leased-time bills for MULTICULTURAL stations in CHICAGO and LOS ANGELES, and looked to recover from current AAR owner PIQUANT, LLC, which took over from previous ntwork operator PROGRESS MEDIA in a transaction MULTICULTURAL's lawsuit characterized as "fraudulent"; MULTICULTURAL's attorney RANDY MASTRO of GIBSON, DUNN AND CRUTCHER told the SUN's DAVID LOMBINO that "the client (MULTICULTURAL) is very satisfied with the terms."
