The FCC has renewed the NEW YORK TIMES RADIO CO.'s license for Classical WQXR/NEW YORK over the objection of MARSHA FARLEY, who claimed that the station's parent paper has documentary proof of "dishonesty in the casino industry," but suppressed the information. The Commission notes that FARLEY's complaint appeared to be based solely on a website for a writer promoting a book on how to beat the house in casino gaming, and that the website allegations have nothing to do with WQXR or the immediate licensee.
The Commission also denied CARIBBEAN FESTIVAL ASSOCIATION, INC.'s petition for reconsideration of the denial of its LPFM application at ST. PETERSBURG, FL over foreign ownership considerations.
