WILD JUSTICE RECORDS, the former management firm of HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS, is suing the band for non-payment. According to a suit filed in a OAKLAND COUNTY, MI court, the firm asserts that the two parties agreed to -- but never signed -- an agreement that would pay management 1/6 of the revenue derived from the plaintiff's efforts.
When the band terminated the agreement, they allegedly didn't pay fees for money made from booked concerts, merchandising, purchases of musical instruments, sponsorship commissions and a $800 loan. All told, the plaintiff is demanding approximately $250,000 plus attorney's fees.
