26 More Lawmakers Sign On To Free Airplay Resolution

Twenty-six additional lawmakers have added their name to the list of co-sponsors supporting a bipartisan resolution recognizing the promotional value of free radio airplay. The resolution, introduced in late OCTOBER, now has 79 co-sponsors including its authors, Reps. GENE GREEN (D-TX) and MIKE CONAWAY (R-TX). 

"Congress should not impose any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge relating to the public performance of sound recordings on a local radio station for broadcasting sound recordings over-the-air, or on any business for such public performance of sound recordings," read House Concurrent Resolution 244.
