ENTERCOM COMMUNICATIONS has named CHRIS CLAUS VP/Market Manager for its six-station NEW ORLEANS cluster. Former NEW ORLEANS Market Manager KEN BECK returns to his previous position as VP/News/Talk Programming for the group, as well as oversee its technical operations.
Also at the group, JOHN GRAEFE has been promoted to ENTERCOM’s VP/Information Technology. He has been with the company since 2001 when he was hired as Dir./Corporate IT.
CLAUS, a 25-year broadcasting veteran, has served as VP/GM for stations in SAN DIEGO (KJQY-FM), LOS ANGELES (KFWB-A and KTWV) and PHILADELPHIA (WPHT-A and WOGL). "I am proud of the long heritage of ENTERCOM/NEW ORLEANS, including the significant role renowned News/Talk leader WWL played during and after Hurricane Katrina," CLAUS stated. "Even more importantly, I am excited to become part of the rebuilding and rebirth of this great city."
"CHRIS has a long track record of working with some of the country’s best radio stations," ENTERCOM RVP DEBORAH KANE said. "His extensive News/Talk/Sports experience makes him the perfect candidate to lead the WWL franchise, as well as our other market dominant brands, to new levels. CHRIS’ inclusive leadership style will quickly set new standards for an organization that is, no doubt, battle tested and ready to continue doing great things.
"At the same time, we welcome KEN BECK back to his corporate role as VP/News/Talk Programming, and we thank him for the wonderful work he has done in making ENTERCOM/NEW ORLEANS a best-in-class cluster of radio stations in the post-Katrina period," KANE continued, "KEN has been an integral part of establishing WWL as a critical touchstone for people throughout the region. We could never have undertaken such vital and on-going rebuilding efforts without his leadership."
