FCC Names Washington As Legislative Affairs Dir.

FCC Chairman KEVIN MARTIN has named KEVIN WASHINGTON as the Commission's Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs. WASHINGTON, a longtine COngressional aide, most recently served as Deputy Director of the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION’s No Child Left Behind Office of Communications and Outreach.

MARTIN also named former NTIA Administrator and Asst. Secretary of Commerce for Communications NANCY J. VICTORY as Chair of the Commission’s Independent Panel Reviewing the Impact of Hurricane Katrina on Communications Networks.
