Tulsa City Councilor Settles Lawsuit Against KFAQ

TULSA City Councilor BILL CHRISTIANSEN is settling his lawsuit against former KFAQ/TULSA radio talk-show host MICHAEL DELGIORNO and station owner JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP.

CHRISTIANSEN filed the defamation lawsuit in 2005 alleging DELGIORNO made false statements during his talk show on KFAQ and said CHRISTIANSEN had committed a felony.

CHRISTIANSEN's attorney says the settlement includes the radio station retracting statements made by DELGIORNO and apologizing to CHRISTIANSEN. The attorney also says there is a monetary settlement but declined to reveal the amount.

DELGIORNO left TULSA in APRIL for a job with CUMULUS Talk WTN/NASHVILLE.
