BBC RADIO 2 morning host TERRY WOGAN has been knighted by BUCKINGHAM PALACE. The IRELAND-born WOGAN, now "Sir TERRY," was originally slated to receive only an honorary knighthood but was granted a full knighthood when he changed to dual Irish-British citizenship and he may now use the "Sir" title.
QUEEN's guitarist BRIAN MAY was honored at the same PALACE ceremony with a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) and actress STEPHANIE COLE ("WAITING FOR GOD," "TENKO") received an OBE.
