FIRST BROADCASTING INVESTMENT PARTNERS will launch its SPECTRUM INNOVATION LABORATORY on JANUARY 1. The DALLAS-based lab will look at digital and analog RF signal propagation; principal areas of focus will include analog and digital terrestrial radio, spectrum allocation and analysis software, and digital technologies related to the distribution of entertainment and information content. 

FIRST BROADCASTING SVP of Engineering BERT GOLDMAN will serve as Senior Technical Advisor to the company and Honorary Chairman of the lab. In addition, the company has named former COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES, INC. Regional Dir. WILLIAM R. HIEATT as VP of ENgineering and Software Development.
