R&R Christian Summit In Review

This past weekend marked the first annual R&R CHRISTIAN SUMMIT, held in NASHVILLE, TN from DECEMBER 8-11th. Though not attended in great numbers, the Christian music industry was well represented by record labels and major market radio stations.

A highlight of the SUMMIT was keynote speaker, Mr. "FINANCIAL PEACE," himself, DAVE RAMSEY, who didn't make us cut up our credit cards, but shared his personal life story and equation for success. Other high points included a preview of "THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE" and the several performances from new and old-school Christian artists. Musical stand outs included performances by NATE SALLIE, PLUMB and CHRIS RICE.

SUMMIT panels covered topics ranging from research and technology to how to build a better station and morning show. The weekend provided a time for radio and labels to really discuss the issues both sides will be facing as we head into 2006.

The weekend went seemingly smooth and was a successful first year for the SUMMIT.
