Noncommercial WBEZ/CHICAGO jazz host LARRY SMITH has retired after 23 years at the station, reports the CHICAGO SUN-TIMES' ROBERT FEDER. SMITH started at crosstown brokered WSBC-A as a gospel host before joining WBEZ.
