Host Sues Former PD Over Alleged Confrontation

Former WNEW (MIX 102.7)/NEW YORK PD FRANKIE BLUE is being sued by night host YVONNE VELAZQUEZ for $1 million over an incident after last year's station CHRISTMAS party. 

The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS' RUSH AND MOLLOY column reports that VELAZQUEZ claims BLUE attacked her on DECEMBER 15, 2004 when she did not attend the station event, calling her a "(bleeping) diva" and pushing her into his office, pinning her to the wall, and punching the wall three times close to her face, then chasing her down the hall and blocking the door to the elevator. BLUE later went on the air in VELAZQUEZ' slot in an appearance that included his getting the station's call letters wrong and other miscues; he exited the station in JANUARY.
