JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP Country KFDI/WICHITA has announced “a better, stronger signal,” today with the replacement of 1,100 feet of transmission wire and newly installed antenna components. The station had been experiencing problems with its signal since MEMORIAL DAY as the replacement of its aging transmission line was delayed due to weather factors, manufacturing time and unanticipated antenna damage. As a result KFDI was transmitted throughout the summer at reduced power.
“It took a little longer than expected, but now we sound better than ever. Our signal is strong and clear, and it’s giving us even better reach in the Wichita market than we had before,” said BEVERLEE BRANNIGAN, OM for the WICHITA cluster.
