DB Top 40 WKZL/GREENSBORO morning legend JACK MURPHY has inked a new five-year deal, effective JANUARY 1st, 2009, that keeps him in place through 2014.
WKZL PD JASON GOODMAN told ALL ACCESS, "JACK is the number one personality in the market, 12+, 18-34 and 25-54, and we are ecstatic to have him here for the next five years. He's an integral part of WKZL's success, and I've gotten used to hand-detailing his car every FRIDAY before he leaves for the weekend."
MURPHY commented to ALL ACCESS, "This is a great feeling, looks like I've gottem fooled again. If I can do this one more time, I'll have all my kids through college, too. Seriously, WKZL is a great place to work, and I've been here for 17 years now, and this is a really excellent family situation. Terrific programming, sales, and management -- plus incredible morning co-hosts JOSH ANDERSON, KATIE O'BRIEN, and FATTY McBUTTERPANTS. And, yes PD JASON GOODMAN is a real winner too. He also does a great job on my car."
