WAWZ To Host Benefit Concert For Ike Relief

PILLAR OF FIRE Christian AC WAWZ (STAR 99.1)/NEW YORK is planning a benefit concert for OCTOBER 18th to raise support for HURRICANE IKE disaster relief. The concert, "Rebuild: A Concert for HURRICANE IKE Relief" will feature WORD RECORDS band SALVADOR and NEW JERSEY-based bands RUNAWAY and ARTICLE A. The concert will be held at the IZOD CENTER at the MEADOWLANDS in EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ at 7:30p (ET).
 
“This night is all about demonstrating the power of community to help our neighbors in need,” said Station Manager SCOTT TAYLOR.

The concert will be hosted by WAWZ personalities JOHNNY and STACEY STONE, BETH BACALL, KEITH STEVENS, DAVE MOORE and GEORGE FLORES. A portion of every ticket sold will be sent to support disaster recovery. In addition, concert attendees will be encouraged to bring retail gift cards that will be distributed to meet the need in the HOUSTON-GALVESTON area.
