BONNEVILLE will flip Rhythmic AC WMVN (MOViN 101.1)/ST. LOUIS to Sports on JANUARY 1. The station will pick up the ESPN RADIO affiliation formerly held by crosstown SIMMONS Sports KSLG-A (TEAM 1380) until 2007, and promises local shows and future play-by-play coverage.
"Our parent company, BONNEVILLE INTERNATIONAL," said BONNEVILLE ST. LOUIS VP and Market Manager JOHN KIJOWSKI, "invested millions of dollars in JUNE of 2008 to increase our signal to a full 100,000 watts, making it one of the strongest FM signals in our market. By moving to a Sports Talk format on 101.1 FM, we’re confident we now can maximize sports programming to its full potential in our city. We believe the combination of a superior FM signal, the strongest local talent, and future play-by-play will bring huge success for our listeners, our clients, and our employees."
