The U.K.'s GLOBAL RADIO announces its management structure in advance of the NOVEMBER 1st merger of operations with newly acquired GCAP MEDIA, with CLASSIC FM Managing Director DARREN HENLEY adding corporate duties as Dir./Brand Innovations and CAPITAL 95.8/LONDON Managing Dir. PAUL JACKSON upped to Group PD for CAPITAL, the seven HIT MUSIC NETWORK stations, and Alternative XFM stations in LONDON and MANCHESTER. HENLEY also adds Urban CHOICE FM/LONDON to his responsibilities. GLOBAL Group Exec. Dir. and Dir./Broadcasting RICHARD PARK will oversee programming on the HEART and GALAXY stations, while GCAP ONE NETWORK Managing Dir. MARK LEE takes over as GLOBAL's Managing Dir./Regions.
In addition, GCAP Group Strategy Development Dir. WILL HARDING takes the same role for the merged company; GCAP Dir./Online and Interactive Dir. ROBIN PEMBROOKE assumes the same responsibility for GLOBAL; and GLOBAL RADIO COO DON THOMSON is named as Acting Commercial Dir., in charge of the newly merged GLOBAL RADIO SALES.
GLOBAL has also named CLIVE POTTERELL as Dir./Business, Legal, and Company Affairs, while former CHRYSALIS RADIO Sales Dir. JOHN LEGG takes the position of Business Development Dir., MANDY EDWARDS is named HR Dir. GCAP Commercial Trading Dir. JOHN MCGEOUGH is named Trading Dir., and NIKKI VIDLER is named CLASSIC FM Sales Dir.
As previously announced, MAIL ON SUNDAY Managing Dir. STEPHEN MIRON will serve as CEO of GLOBAL RADIO starting early in 2009.
