Blazin' 98.9 'Remixes' Baka Boyz

The L.A.-based BAKA BOYZ are departing the morning shift of MEC NETWORK INC. Top 40/Rhythmic XMOR (BLAZIN’ 98.9)/SAN DIEGO, prompting the station to find a locally-based program. Meanwhile, ERIC and NICK VIDAL look to expand their brand in other areas.

"We're moving the BLAZIN’ 98.9 morning drive show back to a SAN DIEGO base, but the BAKA BOYZ MASTER MIX remains a key part of the station’s weekend lineup," MEC spokesman LEE CORNELL said. "BAKA BOYZ producer J. LOVE, will be handling Mix Show duties for the station during the transition. THE BAKA BOYZ will continue with their Master Mix and will be adding a Top 40 version of their Mix Show."
