BORDER MEDIA PARTNERS relaunched the signal of Spanish Contemporary KXXS ("DIGITAL POP Y MAS")/AUSTIN on 104.9 FM, which will allow them to super-serve the market’s rapidly growing Hispanic community. KXXS DIGITAL continues to broadcast on 92.5 FM and this simulcast will now reach across the entire AUSTIN Metro for the first time.
"Spanish Pop continues to show growing loyalty across the country, and AUSTIN is no different," BORDER MEDIA VP/Programming JOSE SANTOS said, We are pleased to expand our signal coverage to our listeners and offer them an opportunity to fulfill their needs to listen to our DIGITAL format. Our listeners told us what they wanted, and we are giving it to them."
"DIGITAL's Spanish Pop format has been in high demand for some time in AUSTIN," VP/AUSTIN Market Manager JERRY DEL CORE added. "By adding 104.9 to DIGITAL's 92.5 signal essentially gives us another full market station super serving Hispanic radio listeners. Our combination of Digital, Regional Mexican and Norteno formats give us the ability to touch more Hispanic Radio listeners than ever before. As AUSTIN's Hispanic community continues to grow, DIGITAL will continue to be a major entertainment tool for our advertisers."
