CBS Sports KHTK-A (SPORTS 1140)/SACRAMENTO is joining the SAN JOSE SHARKS radio network for the upcoming hockey season. The addition of KHTK, which will carry 30 SHARKS games this season, gives the SHARKS a 12 station network, with the flagship continuing to be CLEAR CHANNEL Classic Rock KUFX (98.5 KFOX)/SAN JOSE, with DAN RUSANOWSKY at the mic for his 18th season with the club and former SHARKS player JAMIE BAKER back for his fourth season as color commentator.
"SPORTS 1140 is thrilled to be the radio home for the SAN JOSE SHARKS for 2008-2009," said KHTK PD JEFF MCMURRAY. "When they offered to let us have the STANLEY CUP for a day, how could we refuse?"
"We are delighted to reach this arrangement with SPORTS 1140 KHTK and all of our excellent affiliate stations," said SHARKS EVP MALCOLM BORDELON. "SHARKS hockey has a large fan contingent in NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, and our radio broadcasts are a primary link between these supporters and our team."
