The FCC has granted five media companies a 30 day extension of the OCTOBER 7th deadline to file amendments to their cross-ownership rule waiver requests. The extension will give the FCC time to consider the parties' request for a longer extension to 90 days after a federal court rules on appeals of the rule.
The companies given the extension include BONNEVILLE (for its newspaper-radio-TV combo in SALT LAKE CITY), SCRANTON TIMES LP (SCRANTON-WILKES BARRE), MORRIS COMMUNICATIONS (AMARILLO and TOPEKA), COX (ATLANTA and DAYTON), and TRIBUNE-REVIEW (PITTSBURGH-GREENSBURG).
