ALL ACCESS has learned that PHIL BOYCE has exited the post of VP of News/Talk Programming and PD at CITADEL Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK.
A memo to staffers at the station from GM STEVE BORNEMAN announced BOYCE's departure after 14 years in the post, effective TODAY.
"I’ve had a fabulous run programming WABC and these past 14 years have absolutely flown by," said BOYCE in a press release issued shortly after ALL ACCESS broke the news this afternoon. "I can’t think of a better job in radio and I wish everyone at WABC and CITADEL nothing but the best."
"I believe I have some great opportunities in front of me," added BOYCE. "I only hope they will be as fun and challenging as all of my years programming WABC have been."
CITADEL President, Major Market Radio Station Group MITCH DOLAN said, "PHIL's abilities as a programmer are well known but it’s his kindness and leadership that we’ll miss most."
