Ozomatli Exits Mornings At KYSR

Now All Music In The Morning

CLEAR CHANNEL Alternative KYSR (98.7 FM)/LOS ANGELES and morning show/recording artists OZOMATLI have parted ways after just two months.

CLEAR CHANNEL/L.A. VP/Programming MICHAEL MARTIN told ALL ACCESS, "The guys are so great and we really wanted to make the show work. But at the end of the day, they are a touring band first, and given the time and focus it takes to make a morning show really pop, we realized it wasn't going to work. That, coupled with the fact that we now get ratings almost instantly with PPM and saw a significant ratings decline from the moment we started playing less music in the mornings, brought us to the decision to return to an all-music format in AM drive."
