There was some other interesting data coming out of WEDNESDAY night's OBAMA-McCAIN debate besides the insta-polls indicating who "won." CBS RADIO aired the debate on 17 of its News/Talk stations and on its websites, and came out with some startling online statistics.
Overall, the 17 stations that streamed the debate online saw a nearly 200% increase in listenership from 9-10:30p compared to the same time frame the WEDNESDAY prior. In particular, WCBS-A/NEW YORK, KCBS-A/SAN FRANCISCO, WINS-A/NEW YORK and KNX-A/LOS ANGELES saw the greatest gains in listenership -- WCBS increased 352%, KCBS grew 299%, WINS went up 290% and KNX saw a 250% gain.
