AMERICAN MEDIA SERVICES INTERACTIVE (AMSI) has launched an initiative to assist traditional radio broadcasters in capitalizing on the growth in online listening. AMSI has created strategies involving realignment of content, delivery and revenue generation practices for traditional broadcasters when creating online components.
"Instinctively, I believe most media pundits get the fact that IP delivery of media content will continue to grow and play a big role in our future. The most recent AMS Radio Index, further qualifies the growth that we have seen in the area of online listening," AMSI Pres. CHARLES ANDREW WHATLEY said. "That research also illustrated the need for broadcast entities to realign their thinking to take full advantage of this growth."
Entitled "Revolutionize Your Streaming Strategy," AMSI's initiative will convey its view of the world on the Index findings and obvious changing media consumption habits and promote strategies for higher levels of audience engagement and greater revenue growth.
"Our methods include re-visiting the simple notion of streaming a broadcaster's core on-air brand and instead, creating an online version of the core on-air station that is offered as audio-on-demand online with adaptive technologies," WHATLEY continued. "The value of the online replicated and flanking format versions of the on-air brand delivers highly valuable attributes like relevance to a new generation of media consumers, appropriate levels of commercialization that will resonate to listeners, advertisers and sellers while extending and leveraging the core on-air brand. The AMSI services include custom content development, branded media players that work agnostically across all operating systems and content management systems that enhance the ability to better manage, measure and monetize digital assets."
