During a conference call YESTERDAY (10/21), ARBITRON CFO SEAN CREAMER touched upon the impact of HURRICANE IKE on the SEPTEMBER PPM survey for HOUSTON, saying the company took a loss of approximately $500,000, as well as additional costs because of their local call center being closed.
With the four-week survey being cut to three in SEPTEMBER, as well as two of four OCTOBER weeks without data, is radio looking a a refund?
ARBITRON has not released any official word, but is reportedly planning to discuss the matter with their HOUSTON clients later TODAY.
