PAULINO BERNAL EVANGELISM wins a reduction in its fines for EAS, public file, and main studio violations at its Spanish Religion KBRN-A/BOERNE-SAN ANTONIO, TX, getting the FCC to cut the penalty from $25,000 to $20,000. However, the Commission rejected the licensee's appeal in all other respects.
In other actions by the FCC, VIVA COMMUNICATIONS GROUP, LLC. received a $12.800 fine for EAS and power-down violations at Talk WSDE-A/COBLESKILL, NY; FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES saw its appeal of the cancellation of the license for FM translator W245AV/NORTHEAST, PA and the rejection of a subsequent application for a new site denied; and SERENDIPITY EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING, INC.'s appeal of the denial of its application for a new noncommercial FM at PRESTON, MO was rejected, with the Commission is allowing an arrangement between the applicant and UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL MISSOURI PBS affiliate KMOS-TV/SEDALIA, MO to delay full-time operation of the new FM until KMOS-TV, analog channel 6, switches to digital.
