Minor league baseball's LEHIGH VALLEY IRONPIGS will air on NASSAU BROADCASTING Sports simulcast WTKZ-A/ALLENTOWN, PA-WEEX-A/EASTON, PA (ESPN 1230-1320 AM) this season under a new three-year deal. The 'PIGS aired on LEHIGH CARBON COMMUNITY COLLEGE noncommercial WXLV and the HD2 channel of CLEAR CHANNEL Rock WZZO last season, the team's first in ALLENTOWN after moving from OTTAWA.
"We are excited to join forces with ESPN 1230-1320 AM as both parties see this as a very logical partnership," said IRONPIGS Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting MATT PROVENCE. "For us, the opportunity to collaborate with a 24-hour sports station and to attach ourselves to the very powerful letters 'E-S-P-N' seemed the best way to cater to our loyal and passionate fans. At the same time, we feel we offer a key component to a radio station committed to the local sports scene."
ESPN 1230-1320 AM PD TOM FALLON added, "We are thrilled to partner with an organization like the LEHIGH VALLEY IRONPIGS. We believe this continues to show our 100% commitment to LEHIGH VALLEY sports."
