Belated paperwork for the conversion of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of UNIVERSAL BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of Silent KQLO-A/SUN VALLEY-RENO, NV, to Chapter 7 has been filed with the FCC. The station's license automatically expired on OCTOBER 1st, 2005 because UNIVERSAL failed to file a renewal application. ANABELLE SAVAGE was appointed trustee last DECEMBER 12th after the station's Chapter 11 filing was converted to Chapter 7, but neither the UNIVERSAL shareholders nor the trustee filed for FCC approval of the transfer of control. SAVAGE has filed for approval of the transfer and has also filed for license renewal and special temporary authority to operate the station.
In other transactions filed with the FCC, MARK ACKER's METROPOLITAN RADIO is selling Religion daytimer KIJN-A/FARWELL, TX to MIKE and SARA RODRIGUEZ' UNIDO PARA CRISTO, INC. for $75,000. METROPOLITAN previously announced a sale of the station to TALLGRASS MEDIA but that deal was not consummated.
And HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP is selling FM translator K284BA/RAPID CITY, SD to VICTOR A. MICHAEL, JR.'s MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY TRANSLATORS, LLC for $40,000.
