Jheryl Busby Passes

ALL ACCESS has just learned of the passing of highly respected, veteran record executive JHERYL BUSBY. BUSBY was Pres/CEO of his own label, UMBRELLA RECORDS. He was probably best-known as the former president of MOTOWN RECORDS. He also ran the black division of the former MCA records.

According to our sources, although he had some serious health issues including diabetes, he died as a result of slipping in his jacuzzi and striking his head. Our thoughts and prayers to go out to his family and many friends. BUSBY was 59. No funeral arrangements have been announced at this time.
