Schumer Wants 'Fairness Doctrine' Back

Sen. CHARLES SCHUMER (D-NY) told FOX NEWS TUESDAY that he favors a return of the "Fairness Doctrine," mocking the network's slogan by saying "I think we should all trying to be (sic) fair and balanced, don't you?" and suggesting that the FCC should control content on radio stations.
"The very same people who don’t want the Fairness Doctrine want the FCC to limit pornography on the air. I am for that," SCHUMER told FOX' BILL HEMMER. "I think pornography should be limited. But you can't say government hands off in one area to a commercial enterprise but you're allowed to intervene in another. That’s not consistent."
