The MASSACHUSETTS Attorney General's office told ENTERCOM Sports WEEI-A/BOSTON morning team JOHN DENNIS and GERRY CALLAHAN to stop telling listeners that the election had been pushed back a day.
Spokesman BRIAN MCNIFF told the ASSOCIATED PRESS that Attorney General WILLIAM F. GALVIN's office had received complaints about the bit and sent an e-mail telling the hosts to "knock it off," but said that there were no plans for legal action over the matter, and noted that the hosts "were obviously joking" about the matter.
A similar joke on ENTERCOM Talk WSKY-F/GAINESVILLE drew a complaint from a CNN viewer to the network.
