CRTC OKs CKMH/Medicine Hat Move

ROGERS BROADCASTING gets CRTC approval to move the transmitter of Active Rock CKMH (ROCK 105.3)/MEDICINE HAT, AB from a tower owned by the CBC to another owned by CKUA RADIO FOUNDATION. CKMH signed on with testing on JANUARY 29th and regular programming on FEBRUARY 25th.
The CRTC also approved the addition of nine low power transmitters to extend the signal of CARE RADIO BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION Type B community station CIAM/FORT VERMILION, AB. The additional transmitters are in BUCKLAND, SK; VANDERHOOF, BC; and MEANDER RIVER, PEERLESS LAKE, MANNING, CLEARDALE, CHATEH, WABASCA, and FORT CHIPEWYAN, AB, all running 50 watts except in CHATEH, which will use 14 watts.
