BBC RADIO 2 Head of Specialist Music and Compliance DAVE BARBER is the latest victim of the aftermath of the RUSSELL BRAND/JONATHAN ROSS OCTOBER 18th prank call to actor ANDREW SACHS that forced BRAND's resignation, ROSS' suspension and the resignation of RADIO 2 Controller LESLEY DOUGLAS. BARBER has resigned in advance of a report due NOVEMBER 20th from a BBC inquiry into the incident, in which BRAND and ROSS left a message on SACHS' voicemail with sexual comments about SACHS' granddaughter.
RADIO 2 is airing an apology in ROSS and BRAND's time slots this weekend.
