THE RADIO HALL OF FAME inducted it's Class Of 2008 SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8th in CHICAGO, with ART BELL, JESS CAIN, HOWIE CARR, BOB COLLINS, MICHAEL "MICKEY" LUCKHOFF," DICK WITTINGHILL, CHARLIE TUNA and DR. JAMES DOBSON of the controversial FOCUS ON THE FAMILY program all honored, reports CBSTV4.COM.
"I simply want to say thank you everybody and it is a great pleasure to receive this award, thank you," DOBSON said.
As DOBSON drew handshakes, outside he drew protesters. They claimed DOBSON does not deserve to be honored because he uses the airwaves to spread a message of hate, specifically against gays and lesbians.
"If you're advocating the taking away of rights for a whole group of people, you may be a CHRISTIAN, you may be any number of other things, but one thing you certainly are, is you are hater, and you are a bigot. JAMES DOBSON is a bigot," ANDY THAYER with the GAY LIBERATION NETWORK said.
DOBSON is against same-sex marriages and supported the passage of a ban on gay marriage in CALIFORNIA.
