GREATER MEDIA Talk WTKK/BOSTON host JIM BRAUDE is fighting a traffic ticket issued during an encounter that police say nearly caused an "international incident." The BOSTON HERALD's JESSICA HESLAM reports that BRAUDE was cited for driving northbound in a southbound lane and making an illegal U-turn while trying to get around a traffic blockage that turned out to be caused by a heavily-guarded motorcade carrying U.K. Prime Minister GORDON BROWN from the JFK LIBRARY.
BRAUDE and a STATE POLICE Sergeant, STEVEN GODFREY, got into an argument after GODFREY pulled BRAUDE's SUV over.
BRAUDE has discussed the incident on the air, but told the HERALD that while his attorney told him to save his story for the judge, "The cop who stopped me deserves to be in the GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS for having dropped more F-bombs on a detainee in a shorter period of time than any other cop in history." The hearing is set for NOVEMBER 25th in DORCHESTER District Court.
