CAPITOL/NASHVILLE's TRACE ADKINS is gearing up for the premier of his GREAT AMERICAN COUNTRY (GAC) special "TRACE ADKINS: X (TEN) DAYS," on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25th at 9p (ET). The "X" is a reference to his album of the same name that also happens to go on sale the same day, but more importantly it refers to the 10 days ADKINS recently spent with the troops in AFGHANISTAN and IRAQ while on a USO tour.
The special show's ADKINS and his band during 11 live acoustic and full band performances, as well as time spent off the stage talking with the troops, attending a re-enlistment ceremony, serving ice cream, waiting out a sandstorm and blowing up damaged ammunition.
The trip was special not only to ADKINS, but also to his manager J.W. WILLIAMS. The USO and military officials arranged for WILLIAMS to see his son, TREY, who is stationed in AFGHANISTAN. The older WILLIAMS said it was "the second greatest moment in my life, behind my son's birth."
