WGN's Rosenberg Honored With Humanities Medal

In a WHITE HOUSE ceremony on MONDAY, TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO "EXTENSION 720" host MILT ROSENBERG was awarded a NATIONAL HUMANITIES MEDAL from the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE HUMANITIES MONDAY (11/17). ROSENBERG received the medal from President GEORGE W. BUSH following a reception in honor of the nine individuals, one museum and one philanthropic foundation being recognized.

ROSENBERG was honored "for bringing the world of ideas to millions of listeners. Combining a scholar’s understanding and a teacher’s openness, he has made a home in radio for elevated conversation and profound thought."
