ARBITRON's "Metro Survey Area Rankings and Population" has a few big changes in market size based on Metro Persons 12+ Estimated Population. While the top-six markets remain the same (NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES, CHICAGO, SAN FRANCISCO, DALLAS-FT. WORTH and HOUSTON-GALVESTON), ATLANTA passes PHILADELPHIA for the 7th largest market, with a population of 4,378,000 besting PHILLY's 4,352,800.
Other large markets moving include TAMPA, which passes NASSAU-SUFFOLK, NY for 18th, DENVER at 22nd, now ahead of BALTIMORE, CINCINNATI at 28th, one ahead of upstate CLEVELAND, SALT LAKE CITY at 36th, now ahead of SAN ANTONIO, COLUMBUS at 36th, moving past MILWAUKEE, AUSTIN at 39th, passing PROVIDENCE and INDIANAPOLIS.
