JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP -- TUCSON OPERATIONS has announced a community partnership project that will donate over $1.5 million annually in media value to local charitable organizations. The cluster, which includes ABC affiliate KGUN-TV (9 ON YOUR SIDE), CW affiliate KWBA-TV (THE CW TUCSON), Talk KQTH (104.1 THE TRUTH), Sports KFFN-A (ESPN RADIO 1490 THE FAN), AC KMXZ (94.9 MIX FM), and Rhythmic Oldies KGMG (MEGA OLDIES 106.3/104/9), will pick one organization each month to partner with on a campaign to raise awareness of the charity.
Director of Community Partnerships BOBBY RICH said, "It has been my goal to use our airwaves to strategically make a difference in the community. JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP has always made supporting charitable organizations in each of its markets a priority. By combining the efforts of each of our TUCSON stations, we can coordinate to bring an even greater awareness to the needs and solutions available in our area."
"As a broadcast group I believe we can do even more than entertain and inform. It’s our responsibility to effect change by nurturing and supporting our community," added VP/GM JULIE BRINKS.
