New BONNEVILLE Sports WMVN (SPORTS/TALK 101.1)/ST. LOUIS inks FOX SPORTS MIDWEST studio host PAT PARRIS as co-host with BRYAN BURWELL of the station’s midday 10a-2p CT show when the new format launches on JANUARY 1. PARRIS will continue to serve as primary host of the CARDINALS LIVE and BLUES LIVE pre-game and post-game shows on FOX SPORTS MIDWEST. He previously worked for FOX SPORTS PITTSBURGH and HEARST-ARGYLE ABC affiliate WTAE-TV/PITTSBURGH and NBC affiliate WHO-TV/DES MOINES.
PD JASON BARRETT said, "PAT is a professional in every sense of the word, and his ability to drive a show is evident by the work he’s done on CARDINALS and BLUES coverage on FSN. I believe he and BRYAN BURWELL are going to make a really strong team; he’s going to surprise some people with his ability to let down his guard and have some fun while still taking intelligently about sports."
"I’m very excited about joining SPORTS/TALK 101.1. Sports talk radio will give me a bit more freedom to express my own analysis and opinions on our local teams, that I don’t always have the opportunity to do with the time constraints on FOX SPORTS MIDWEST," said PARRIS. "I’m looking forward to a no-nonsense approach to sports talk with BRYAN BURWELL as my radio partner."
VP and Market Manager JOHN KIJOWSKI added, "When we started assembling our broadcast lineup we wanted to feature a blend of both new and established voices. In PAT PARRIS we have someone who is already known to local sports viewers on the TV side, but he’s also a new voice that we believe many sports radio listeners will enjoy hearing from on a regular basis."
