Billy 'Zero' Gallagher Named PD At WTMD

TOWSON UNIVERSITY AAA WTMD (89.7 RADIO FOR MUSIC PEOPLE)/BALTIMORE zeroes in on BILLY "ZERO" GALLAGHER as its new PD, effective DECMEBER 22nd. GALLAGHER, a TOWSON UNIVIERSITY graduate, was most recently at XM SATELLITE RADIO where he was responsible for programming XMU and other channels.

WTMD GM STEVE YASKO said, "GALLAGHER brings years of experience, keen insight and a natural ability to recognize and fill listeners’ desires. From my first meeting with BILLY, I could tell he is the right person to lead WTMD’s programming. BILLY instantly understood where the station is, where we want to go and articulated the path to get there."

GALLAGHER said, "I have been lucky in my radio career; I haven't had to move around to find cool jobs. I was on air at WTMD briefly while in college and now, on top of feeling lucky and privileged to work with the WTMD team, I can honestly say this feels like home."
