The Roys Go To The White House

PEDESTAL/NINE NORTH RECORDS/NASHVILLE duo THE ROYS were invited to appear at a special private "thank you party" hosted by PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH and VICE-PRESIDENT DICK CHENEY in WASHINGTON, D.C. on DECEMBER 2nd. The party was thrown for the President and Vice-President's staff as a token of thanks for their work over the last eight years.

The ROYS were also given a special private tour of the WHITE HOUSE, WEST WING and OVAL OFFICE.

LEE ROY said: "To be in the same room is an honor, but to shake his hand and take a picture with the President was an honor and a thrill." ELAINE ROY added: "He gave [LEE] a hug and they hit knuckles together like they've known each other forever, like they're watching football or something. [LEE] had a smile from ear to ear."
