CBS RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic KXJM/PORTLAND and syndicated morning show, THE PLAYHOUSE has introduced one of radio’s first fully produced 24 hour video channels, PH-24. The channel features a fully produced video simulcast of the radio show which airs weekdays 5-10am, along with a daily replay, live chatroom and an archive loaded with content dating back to JANUARY 2002. PH-24 can be accessed by logging onto: www.radioplayhouse.com.
The Playhouse Morning show, originates from a KXJM studio outfitted with seven robotic cameras and a pre-production video control room. While the radio show is airing live, video director TONY SMITH mans the control room and the end result is a real time video simulcast which lets listeners become viewers as they peek behind the curtain to see the ultimate reality show including wacky stunts, celebrity interviews and of course the unending conflicted interplay between members of the show, host PK, show producer IVAN, newswoman NEVEEN and stunt boy DURYAN.
THE PLAYHOUSE host P commented in a press release, "We wanted to create something new and unique and now we have online viewers from PORTLAND, OREGON to AUSTRALIA, ENGLAND, ASIA and beyond. This truly is a glimpse into radio’s future on the internet. We’ve also got the ability to stream live from anywhere around the globe, including my upcoming wedding from a cruise ship in the middle of the CARIBBEAN!"
THE PLAYHOUSE is available for syndication through RICH O'BRIEN at SUPERADIO. You can reach him at Rich@superadio.com.
