CLEAR CHANNEL is reacquiring Spanish Adult Hits KFSO-F (LA PRECIOSA 92.9)/VISALIA-FRESNO, Top 40 WAKS (96.5 KISS FM)/AKRON, Alternative KTEG (THE EDGE 104.1)/SANTA FE, Alternative WMAX-F (RADIO X 96.1)/HOLLAND, MI, Active Rock KYRK (THE NEW 104.1)/HOUMA, LA, Active Rock WJRR/COCOA BEACH, FL, and Oldies WOLL/HOBE SOUND, FL from the ALOHA STATION TRUST.
In each case, the stations have been reassigned by ARBITRON to different markets (KFSO from FRESNO to VISALIA-TULARE-HANFORD, WAKS from CLEVELAND to AKRON, KTEG from ALBUQUERQUE to SANTA FE, KYRK from NEW ORLEANS to BATON ROUGE, WJRR from ORLANDO to MELBOURNE-COCOA BEACH-TITUSVILLE) and the two-year waiting period for redesignation to be effective has expired, with the exception of WOLL, which us now in compliance after a change of community of license for sister Top 40 WLDI (WILD 95.5), and WMAX, which complies now that sister Top 40 WSNX has been redesignated to MUSKEGON.
The stations being reacquired were designated for sale due to ownership caps as a result of the company's buyout.
In other deals filed with the FCC, DAVID L. HUMES is buying out the estate of his former partner GEORGE ROBBINS and taking 100% ownership in WCBR, INC., licensee of Southern Gospel WCBR-A/RICHMOND, KY, for $50,000; and BARRY LUNDERVILLE's CUPID BROADCASTING, LLC is selling FM translator W270BR/ISLAND POND, VT to VINCENT ILLUZZI & JOSEPH ILLUZZI for $6,800.
