Governor's Arrest Sends WBBM Website Numbers Soaring

CBS News WBBM-A/CHICAGO reports that TUESDAY's breaking news of the arrest of ILLINOIS Gov. ROD BLAGOJEVICH pulled in a sharp increase in users for its WBBM780.com website. The station's online coverage more than doubled daily traffic and nearly quadrupled stream usage from previous TUESDAY metrics as measured by ONESTAT.COM and ANDOMEDIA.

Page views jumped 253%, daily unique users soared 204%, search referral traffic rose 169%, the top streaming hour was up 396%, and average hourly streaming listeners over the entire day showed a 270% increase.
