A new version of the popular video game GUITAR HERO, titled "Modern Hits," is expected to be released by ACTIVISION next OCTOBER for the wildly popular -- and portable -- NINTENDO DS. The GAMESPOT website discovered the news when the ENTERTAINMENT SOFTWARE RATINGS BOARD announced its ratings for "GUITAR HERO: Modern Hits" ... before ACTIVISION publicly announced its release date.
Like its DS GUITAR HERO predecessors, Modern Hits will be rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and older and up by the ESRB. What's not known is whether the game "will come with a fret-button peripheral that connects to the DS via the handheld's GAME BOY ADVANCE slot. That slot is absent in the DSi, the camera-enabled third model of NINTENDO's portable, which is due out in the U.S. in the latter half of 2009."
No music titles were announced.
