K103/Portland Host Michael Bailey Dies

Condolences to family and friends of CLEAR CHANNEL AC KKCW (K103)/PORTLAND, OR afternoon host MICHAEL BAILEY, who died MONDAY after a long battle with leukemia at 60. 

BAILEY was on the air in PORTLAND for more than 30 years. He joined K103 in 1986 and previously worked in the market at KINK (first as "LEE NELSON," then as "BOB MARX"), where he was on the air and served as PD.

In his most recent blog post on K103, BAILEY candidly described the difficulties of his cancer treatments but spoke hopefully about a planned bone marrow transplant, and returning to the airwaves.
