BRITISH radio giant GCAP MEDIA CEO DAVID MANSFIELD has abruptly quit the company after just five months on the job for the fledgling media behemoth, which was created in MAY when CAPITAL RADIO and GWR merged. MANSFIELD, who will be replaced by the company's chairman RALPH BERNARD, will remain with the company for another 4 months (though not as CEO) to assist with the integration of the two companies. He will receive a pay-off of £600,000.
